'The Snow Queen was an adaption of the original story by Hans Christian Anderson aimed at children & families.
It was staged in a warehouse at the BMW plant oxford - a large open space with seating installed at one end.
The set was made up of ice walls which provided a backstage area, and a set of trucks, 2 massive two storey houses and another
smaller truck which could move between the others. The action was spread all over the space and showed the long journey that
Gerda has to go on to find her friend Kay.
As ASM for the production I was responsible for most of the propping and prop making, including a set of puppets which the cast
danced with in one of the scenes...
